Regulated L.P. to Natural Gas

Conversion Kit for 36G/36J Two-Stage

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FAILURE TO READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE
INSTALLING OR OPERATING THIS CONTROL COULD CAUSE PERSONAL
INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

Installer:  Save these instructions for future use!

This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified
service agency in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions and all applicable codes and requirements
of the authority having jurisdiction. If the information in
these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explo-
sion, or production of carbon monoxide may result,
causing property damage, personal injury, or loss of
life. The qualified service agency performing the work
assumes the responsibility for the proper conversion
of this appliance with this kit.

APPLICATION

This conversion kit allows the 36G Series and 36J Series Two-
Stage gas valves to be used on Natural gas applications. This
conversion kit is for use on all 36G/36J Two-Stage, fast and
slow open models.

TO CONVERT FROM L.P. TO NATURAL GAS

1.

Remove both regulator cover screws.

2.

Remove both regulator adjustment screws (beneath the
cover screws).

3.

Remove both regulator springs from regulator sleeves. (L.P.
configuration may be two L.P. springs, color-coded white, or
one L.P., color-coded white, and one Natural, color-coded
silver/plain).

4.

Insert the Natural Gas regulator springs (provided in the
conversion kit and color-coded silver/plain) into the regulator
sleeves.

5.

Replace the High regulator adjustment screw and adjust
approximately 14 turns from top of sleeve.

6.

Replace the Low regulator adjustment screw and adjust
approximately 10 turns from top of sleeve.

7.

Adjust both outlet pressures to the appliance manufacturer's
requirements.

8.

Replace both regulator cover screws.

9.

Remove the L.P. WARNING label, if
present, from the gas valve. Also attach the
small round NAT GAS labels to the top of
the regulator cover screws.
