1/1.8" 2.8 Million Pixel Effective Super

HAD™ CCD, 3.3 MP Gross
Super HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode)
CCDs provide high resolution for excellent
image quality shot after shot. HAD allows
more light to enter the imager, increasing
sensitivity and reducing noise.

QXGA Image Resolution
Utilizing high quality CCD imagers, Sony
digital still cameras capture stunning
images in a variety of resolutions ideal for
photo quality printing.

Memory Stick

® Media

A flash memory system that
currently holds up to 128 MB
of data on a tiny, transportable

unit that can be used in cameras,
camcorders, computers, printers, voice
recorders and Walkman® portable stereos.
Memory Stick media is digital, powerful,
and transportable, and available in 8MB,
16MB, 32MB, 64MB and 128MB.

3X Stepless Digital Zoom

Precision Digital zoom brings
distant subjects closer without
the jagged edges of other

designs, resulting in smooth images.

14-Bit DXP A/D Conversion

14-bit Digital Extended
Processor captures the
dynamic range between light

and dark areas of your subject, providing
an overall improvement without losing
detail (highlights and shadow).

AF (Auto Focus) Illuminator

Delivers a high level of
focusing accuracy when
shooting in low light and

no-light situations.

E-Mail Mode

Stores a low-resolution
320 x 240 file in a separate
folder from the original

image for faster Internet uploads and
downloads.

Intelligent Flash with Red-Eye Reduction
Provides the appropriate amount of flash
for optimum brightness and color accuracy
in virtually any lighting condition. The
Red-Eye Reduction system uses a series
of pre-flashes that causes the subject’s
pupils to contract, reducing the possibility
of reflection from the back of the eye that
causes the red-eye problem.

Video E-Mail Mode
Captures up to 60 seconds of 160 x 112
MPEG video for very small files that are
perfect for e-mailing to family and friends

MPEG Movie HQ Mode

Lets you capture 5, 10 or 15
seconds of MPEG video at
320 x 240 resolution. MPEG

HQ captures full screen video at 16
frames per second for smoother, more
realistic motion. MPEG HQ also provides
improved sound quality that rivals that of
analog camcorders.

MPEG Movie EX

The MPEG Movie EX mode
allows the user to capture
MPEG files with audio, at a

resolution of 160 x 112 or 320 x 240, at
a length that is limited only by the
capacity of the Memory Stick media.

Clip Motion Mode

Animated function plays back
still images in succession in
1/2 second intervals.  Clip

motion allows you to capture up to 10
frames in the GIF format and combines
them into a compact animated GIF file.
By varying time between shots you can
create a variety of entertaining animations
not possible with other motion capture
functions.

1.5" 123K Pixel LCD Viewfinder
This 1.5" LCD features a pixel count that is
usually found only in larger LCD screens.
By using 123K pixels, the LCD presents the
images in even greater detail and clarity.

2-Shot Burst Mode
Capture 2 full resolution images at 2
frames per second, with one press of
the shutter button. Great for capturing
multiple fast action shots.

TEXT Mode (GIF)

Great for taking images of
documents. Text mode captures
images (GIF) with much smaller

file size without reducing resolution.

TIFF Mode

Digital images can be stored in
an uncompressed file format
(TIFF-Tagged Image File

Format). Images are presented with all the
color information found in the original shot
with no compression, and are perfect for
use in graphic applications.

USB Interface

Allows camera to connect to
the Universal Serial Bus
(USB) of Microsoft®

Windows® & Macintosh® PCs. Simply
plug in using the supplied cable to your
computers USB port for fast, easy access
to your pictures.

Eye-Level Optical Viewfinder
Allows accurate framing at eye level,
providing stability when capturing fast
moving subjects.

Playback Zoom, Trim and Resize

Manipulates the picture
inside the camera. While
playing back your images on

the camera, it allows you to edit your
images by zooming in (up to 5X) and
cropping your picture (up, down, left,
right). You can save the new image as a
separate file. Resize lets you save a copy
of an image to a smaller or larger file size.
