Important: Read this leaflet carefully before you use the teether and save it for future

reference. To help us identify your teether if you need to contact us, please keep this packaging

or make a note of the imprinted number (located on

the back of the transparent casing) and write it here:

Warning: Never attach ribbons or cords to a teether, your child may be strangled by them.

Inspect the teethers carefully before each use, especially when the child has teeth. Pull the

teether in all directions to check for durability. Throw away the teether at the first signs of

damage or weakness. Never dip the teether in sweet substances or medication, your child

may get tooth decay. In the event that the teether becomes lodged in the mouth, DO NOT

PANIC. The teether cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with such an event. Remove

from the mouth with care, as gently as possible. Please discard this teether after 12

months of use.

Caution: Cool only in domestic refrigerator; do not place in freezer compartment. Never

clean the teether in the dishwasher, as this may damage the teether. Do not use abrasive

cleaning agents, antibacterial cleaning agents or chemical solvents. Excessive concentration

of cleaning agents may eventually cause the teether to crack. If this occurs, replace the

teether immediately. Do not leave the teether in direct sunlight or near a heat source.

Before first use: Clean the teether before first use. See section ‘Cleaning’.

Using the teether: Philips AVENT offers different teethers for every stage of

tooth development.

Stage one: Front teeth (SCF880/890): This teether can be used when your baby is 4 months

or older, or when you see the first signs of teething (normally the bottom 2 front teeth

coming through).

Stage two: Middle teeth (SCF882/892): This teether can be used when your baby is approx.

6 months or older, or when you see the first signs of your baby’s middle teeth coming through.

Stage three: Back teeth (SCF884/894): This teether can be used when your baby is approx.

8 months or older, or when you see the first signs of the baby’s back teeth coming through.

Tip: For a cooling effect, cool the teether in the refrigerator before use.

Cleaning: Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, anti-bacterial cleaning agents or

chemical solvents. Excessive concentration of cleaning agents may eventually

cause the teether to crack. If this occurs, replace the teether immediately. Do

not immerse the teether in water. Clean the teether after each use to ensure

optimal hygiene.

1: Clean the teether with warm water. 2: Rinse the teether thoroughly. 3: Sterilize the teether

with a sterilizer. We advise you use a Philips AVENT Electronic Steam Sterilizer, Philips AVENT

Electric Steam Sterilizer or a Philips AVENT Microwave Sterilizer. Do not immerse the teether

in cold or boiling water to sterilize or clean. Note: Wash your hands thoroughly and ensure surfaces

are clean before contact with sterilized components. 4: After sterilization, let the teether cool

down for 5 minutes.

Storage: Clean the teether after each use and store it in a safe and dry place to ensure

optimal hygiene.
