Note: The timer will automatically return to clock mode if a button is not pushed for 
1 minute while programming. Return to step 1 if this happens.

Initial Set Up:
1. IftheLCDscreenisdisplayingnumbers,youarereadytoprogram,pleaseproceed

tostep2.Ifthescreenisblankpluginthetimerandleavefortwohourstocharge
internalbatterybeforeprograming.

2. UseatoothpickorsharppenciltopushtheRESETbutton.Oncepushed,thescreen

willgoblankbrieflyandthendisplay12:00AM.See Figure 1.

3. PressandholdtheSETbuttonfor5secondsuntilhourbeginstoflash.Releasebutton.
4. PresstheUP/DOWNtoadjusthour.PressSETtoconfirm.ThetimerHOURisdefaultto

12AM.TakenoteoftheAM/PMontheupperleftofthescreenwhensettingthehour.

5. PresstheUP/DOWNtoadjustminute.PressSETtoconfirm.
6. PresstheUP/DOWNtoadjustyear.PressSETtoconfirm.
7. PresstheUP/DOWNtoadjustmonth.PressSETtoconfirm.
8. PresstheUP/DOWNtoadjustday.PressSETtoconfirm.
9. PresstheUP/DOWNtoselectDST ONorDST OFF.Press

SETtoconfirm.Note:DSTstandsforDaylightSavings
Time.DSTiseither“ON”or“OFF”.DSTwillautomatically
resetthetimesinthetimertomatchthecurrenttime
change,ifDSTissettoON.ThedefaultDSTtimechange
is2:00am,thesecondSundayofMarch,andthenthefirst
SundayinNovember.

10.ThenextsettingistheZonefortheSunSmartTMFeature.

Lookatthemapbelowanddeterminewhichzonebestfits
yourlocation.UsetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoscrollthrough
theavailablezonesinthetimerandstopwhenyoufindthe
zonewherethetimerisbeinginstalled.Press“SET”toconfirmzone.

11.ThescreenwillshowSUNUPandatimewiththeHOURblinking.Thisisthetimer’s

pre-settimeforSUNUP.IfthetimeiscorrectforSUNUPpress“SET”twicetomoveto
theSUNSETsetting.IftheHOURisnotcorrectusetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoadjust
thehourtomatchSUNUPforyourarea.Press“SET”to
confirm.Theminutesarenowblinking.Iftheminutes
arenotcorrectusetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoadjustthe
minutestomatchSUNUPforyourarea.Press“SET”when
minutesarecorrect.

12.ThescreenwillshowSUNSETandatimewiththeHOUR

blinking.Thisisthetimer’spre-settimeforSUNSET.Ifthe
timeiscorrectforSUNSETpress“SET”twicetocompletetimesetting.IftheHOURis
notcorrectusetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoadjustthehourtomatchSUNSETforyour
area.Press“SET”toconfirm.Theminutesarenowblinking.Iftheminutesarenot
correctusetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoadjusttheminutestomatchSUNSETforyour
area.Press“SET”whenminutesarecorrect.Thiscompletesthetimesetportion.

Programming ON/OFF Times:
1. HolddownthePROGbuttonfor5seconds.Figure 3shouldappearonthescreen.

2. 1ON--:--isthefirstsetting.
3. Press“SET”andthedaysoftheweekwillbeginblinking.Thiswilltellthetimerthe

daysoftheweekthetimerwillbeincontrolofthelights/devicespluggedintothe
timer.PresstheUP/DOWNbuttonstoscrollthroughthemultipleweekdayprogram
optionsshownbelow.

Multiple Weekday Program Options:
Apartfromindividualweekdays,pressingtheUP/DOWNkeystoscrollthroughthe
multipledaycombinationssuchas:
•MondaythruSunday

•Tuesday&Thursday&Saturday

•M,T,W,Th,F,Sat&Sun

•Saturday&Sunday

•Monday&Wednesday&Friday

•MondaythruFriday

Choosethedaysyouwanttheprogramtobeactiveandpress“SET”

4. Nowthatyouhavechosenthedaysthetimerwillfunction,thenextstepistochoose

thetimesthetimerwillturnON.Thereare3optionstochoosefromwhenselecting
theprogramONtime.UsetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoscrollthroughtheoptions.
CUSTOM TIME (12:00) – SUNUP – SUNSET.

A.IfyouwouldliketosettheProgram1ONTimetothepre-setSUNUPtime,usethe

UP/DOWNbuttonstofindtheSUNUPtimeonthedisplayandpress“SET”.Youwill
nowmovetotheProgram1OFFtimeset.(Gotostep5).

B.IfyouwouldliketosettheProgram1ONTimetothepre-setSUNSETtime,use

theUP/DOWNbuttonstofindtheSUNSETtimeonthedisplayandpress“SET”.You
willnowmovetotheProgram1OFFtimeset.(Gotostep5).

C.Ifyouwouldliketochooseacustomtime,usetheUP/DOWNbuttonstofindthe

screenshowing12:00blinkingandpress“SET”.Thehourwillbeblinking,usethe
UP/DOWNbuttonstofindthehouryouwouldlikethetimertoturntheprogram
ON.(TakenoteoftheAM/PMontheupperleftofthescreenwhensettingthe
HOUR.)Onceyouhavefoundthehourdesiredpress“SET”.Theminuteswillnowbe
blinking,usetheUP/DOWNbuttonstofindtheminuteyouwouldlikethetimerto
turntheprogramON.Onceyoufoundthehourdesiredpress“SET”.Youwillnow
movetosettheProgram1OFFtime.

5. Thescreenwillnowshow1OFF--:--.andyouwillrepeattheroutineabovetoselecta

CUSTOM TIME (12:00), SUNUP or SUNSETfortheOFFtime.

6. RepeatthesameroutineforProgram2(P2)throughP7tosetasmanyON/OFFcycles

asdesired.Atanytime,pushPROGbuttontocompleteprogrammingandreturnto
clockmode.

7. Onceallprogrammingiscompletemakesurelampordeviceissetintheonposition,

andAUTOshowsatthetopofthetimerdisplay.Plugthelightsordevicesintothe
timerandplugthetimerintothewall.Yourtimerisreadytouse!

Note:ThelampordevicewillnotcomeonuntilthenextONtimeistriggered.To
manuallyturnthedeviceONandstarttheprogram,cycletheON/OFFbuttonuntilthe
light/deviceturnson.ThenpressoncemoretoputtimerinAUTOmode(timeractive).You
canalsousetheON/OFFbuttontooverridethetimerandsettoON(alwayson)orOFF

(alwaysoff).

RCL (Clear settings) Button:
WhenprogrammingON/OFFtimes,pushtheRCL/RNDbuttontoclearanON/OFF
setting.Pressagaintoresumeprogramming.See figure 5.
 
Random Security Option (RND):
TheprogramfeaturewillturnlightsONandOFFusingtheprogramedtimes+or-30
minutes,givingthehouseamorelivedinappearancewhileoccupantisaway.
1. PushRCL/RND(random)buttontoactivatetheRandomfeaturewhileinclockmode.

ThescreenwilldisplayRNDinthetoprightcorner.

2. PushRCL/RNDbuttonagaintodeactivatetheRandomfeatureandreturnthetimer

toitssetprogramming.

Thisdevicecomplieswithpart15oftheFCCrules.Operationissubjecttothe
followingtwoconditions:
(1)thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference,and(2)thisdevicemust
acceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycause
undesiredoperation.

FCC NOTE:ThemanufacturerisnotresponsibleforanyradioorTV
interferencecausedbyunauthorizedmodificationstothisequipment.Such
