To Sauté Only:

The Sauté function is excel ent for stir frying veggies and browning meat.

1. Add ingredients to be sautéed/browned.

2. Press the SAUTÉ button to preheat the Aroma® rice cooker. The sauté indicator

light wil il uminate.

3. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir ingredients until sautéed/browned to

the desired level.

4. Turn the rice cooker to “OFF” by pressing the KEEP-WARM/OFF button twice.

5. Remove sautéed food from the rice cooker, using caution as it wil be

extremely hot.

USING YOUR RICE COOKER

Sauté-Then-Simmer™ Technology

CAUTION:

• Do not use the provided rice paddle to sauté. It is

not intended to be used in contact with high

temperatures. Use a long-handled wooden spoon

to stir food while sautéing.

Aroma’s patent-pending Sauté-Then-Simmer™ (STS) Technology is excel ent for

making delicious Spanish rice, risottos, pilafs, packaged meal helpers and more!

1. Add ingredients to be sautéed/browned.

2. Press the SAUTÉ button to preheat the Aroma® rice cooker. The sauté indicator

light wil il uminate.

3. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir ingredients until sautéed/browned to

the desired level

3. After food has sautéed properly, add other cal ed for ingredients and liquid.

When liquid is added, the Aroma Sauté-Then-Simmer™ Technology wil sense a

change in temperature. The rice cooker wil then automatical y switch over to

simmer mode.

4. Place the lid securely onto rice cooker. Al ow the rice cooker to cook until it is

finished. The rice cooker wil automatical y switch to “Keep-Warm” mode with

several audible beep sounds once the meal has finished cooking.

5. To turn the rice cooker to ”OFF,” press the KEEP-WARM/OFF button. The

indicator light wil turn off. If the KEEP-WARM/OFF button is not pressed, the rice

cooker wil remain in “Keep-Warm” mode. It is not recommended to leave food

on “Keep-Warm” mode for more than 12 hours.

NOTE:

• To avoid a loss of steam and longer cooking times, do not open the lid at

any point during the simmering process.

To Use Sauté-Then-Simmer™ Technology:

NOTE:

• It is important to turn off the rice cooker after sautéeing, as the rice cooker

wil not turn off on its own.
